No one starting out on the path to become a lean company or lean organisation can do without tried-and-tested tools. There are no patent remedies, the pre-requisites, requirements and marginal conditions are very specific in each case, and no two cases are alike. Nevertheless, there are standards, which every accomplished Lean Consultant carries in his "toolbox". He accesses these, selects, adapts the tools to the relevant requirements, applies them and evaluates the results.
